Bookings are essential for all school groups visiting the National Archives in Canberra.

Memory of a Nation

For visitors to our new permanent exhibition, Memory of a Nation, we offer facilitated programs linked directly to National Statements of Learning for Civics and Citizenship and 20th-century Australian History. Programs are suitable for years 5 to 12, and we can tailor a program to suit your students' needs.

Group size

To ensure that students get the most out of their visit, we limit the number of students to 60 at any one time.

Duration

You will need about an hour.

Location

We are on Queen Victoria Terrace, just behind Old Parliament House, Parkes, in Canberra.

Opening hours

Exhibitions at the National Archives of Australia in Canberra are open every day from 9am to 5pm.

Cost

There is a small charge for facilitated programs.
