HMAS Bendigo

Constructed as ship number 150, HMAS Bendigo was laid down on 12 August 1940, launched on 1 March 1941, and completed on 9 May 1941. It had the same length and displacement as HMAS Bathurst (see above). In 1947, HMAS Bendigo was sold to Hong Kong interests and subsequently incorporated into the navy of the People’s Republic of China.
