HMAS Cessnock

This minesweeper was constructed as ship number 153. Laid down on 16 April 1941, HMAS Cessnock was launched on 17 October 1941 and completed on 29 January 1942. Its length and displacement were the same as HMAS Bathurst. It was with the allied fleet in Tokyo Bay at the signing of the Japanese surrender and later sold to a Chinese shipping company in 1947. It was scrapped in 1949.
