HMAS Huon
The torpedo boat destroyer HMAS Huon was allocated ship number 4. Its measurements were 250 feet overall with a displacement of 700 tons. It was laid down on 25 January 1913, launched on 14 December 1914, and completed on 4 February 1916. Originally named HMAS Derwent, HMAS Huon was the first steel warship wholly built in Australia.

Some of these have been taken from the working drawings of an earlier destroyer built in part at Cockatoo Island Dockyard, the Warrego. |
