HMIS Madras

HMIS Madras was one of two minesweepers (the other was HMIS Bengal) built for the Royal Indian Navy at the Cockatoo Island Dockyard. Allocated ship number 155, it was laid down on 4 August 1941, launched on 17 February 1942, and completed on 22 May 1942.
