Josephine Secis joined the National Archives of Australia as Assistant Director-General, Collection Management in January 2024.
Before joining National Archives, Josephine held a number of executive roles at Queensland State Archives where she was responsible for recordkeeping, collection management and digital preservation. She led the development of the State's first Digital Archive and increased recordkeeping capability across the Queensland public sector.
As part of the Executive team at National Archives, Josephine will build public trust in the public record through the development and implementation of innovative and digitally focused information and data management policies and standards. She will also focus on preserving Australian Government information of enduring significance and exploring ways of providing better services to users.
Josephine is a people focused leader and is passionate about working with her teams to unleash their full potential and explore new and better ways of delivering digitally focused archival and information management services.
