Seraphin Nyirenda migrated to Australia from the Democratic Republic of Congo (via the UK) in 2008 when he discovered his life was in danger due to his work as a political reporter. A proud father, Seraphin was separated from his family for 6 years during his transit as an asylum seeker.
Now based in Adelaide, where he has deep connections with his extended family and African heritage, Seraphin is a passionate social worker focusing on the settlement of new migrants.
