About this record
This is a black-and-white photograph of the Rt Hon. Sir Arthur Fadden, Australia's thirteenth Prime Minister. It shows him wearing a pin-stripe suit and tie. He is facing towards the camera in an official photograph. As the thirteenth Prime Minister, Fadden took office for 40 days from 29 August to 7 October 1941. The short tenure came about as a result of the Opposition winning a vote to reject the Budget.
