The collection in Perth
The Western Australia Office in Northbridge incorporates a Research Centre, seminar facilities, an exhibition space and administration offices for Perth staff. It is a convenient one-stop shop for all your National Archives needs, from viewing records to taking in the latest display of collection material.
The National Archives now has a dual-site operational model in Western Australia, with access services (Northbridge) and records storage (Belmont) in separate locations.
This change means records must now be ordered in advance. To avoid delays we encourage researchers to contact us before they visit.
Visitor information
The Research Centre is open Tuesday to Thursday 9.30am to 4.30pm for viewing original records. Original records need to be requested in advance. Please complete an advance request for records or call 08 9470 7500.
