12th July 1944.
My dear Prime Minister,
I have received from a correspondent in New South Wales, who desires to remain anonymous, a request that I make representations to you concerning the desirability for a National Day of Prayer in connection with the need for rain.
I have replied saying that I would pass on her suggestion, but that it would appear that in view of the localised nature of the need, an approach to the State Premier would be more appropriate.
I should be grateful for a reply which I can forward to my correspondent.
With every good wish,
Yours sincerely,
