This is a black-and-white photograph of Chris Watson, Australia's third Prime Minister. It is an official portrait. The photograph shows him wearing a white shirt and striped tie, with a vest and sporting a beard. He is facing towards the camera. As the third Prime Minister, Watson was the first in the world to lead a nation with a Labor government. However, the government only lasted approximately four months. Watson went on to assist in the establishment of the National Roads and Motorists Association (NRMA).
