Without Submission – Migration to Australia of Asians in Kenya with British Passports.
The Prime Minister invited the attention of the Cabinet to a message received from the Australian High Commission, Nairobi, reporting accounts in the Kenyan press of activities by the New Settlers Federation of Australia to encourage Asians in Kenya with British passports to seek to migrate to Australia.
2. The Cabinet was agreed as to the need for prompt action to forestall this attempt by the New Settlers Federation to force an issue on Australia's immigration policy. It noted that the matter had been placed before the Minister for Immigration for urgent advice as to the action the Government should take in response to the development.
