Herewith brief report on assimilation activities for the month of April, 1953.
Residents entertained at Garden Party in Ipswich by the Ipswich Branch of the New Settler League.
Women and children in National Costume acted as collectors in Brisbane for Legacy on their Button Day Appeal and a goodly sum was collected for this worthy cause.
Townsville Branch of the New Settlers League entertained a number of residents at Morning Tea and Musical Programme in the Canberra Hotel, Brisbane.
Representative from the Centre attended a meeting of the Empire Youth Sunday Committee, with a view to participating in Youth Sunday celebrations.
Mrs Porter of Yeronga invited 3 women for lunch.
