[Large heading, the end of the heading is obscured by a black mark:] Doctor Praises Mahomet Allu[m]
[Subheading:] Envies Wonder Worker His Marvellous Skill
[A large black question mark shape is in the centre of the page. In the blank space within the loop of the question mark, there is the text 'Thousands of testimonials from cured and grateful patients may be seen at the rooms of MAHOMET ALLUM STURT ST., ADELAIDE'. In the straight line of the question mark, there is a photo of Mahomet Allum, wearing a turban. In the rectangular dot at the bottom of the question mark is printed the text: 'MAHOMET ALLUM "The Wonder Man".']
Easily the most outstanding personality in Australia to-day is Mahomet Allum, whose fame as a philanthropist and healer of the sick and suffering has penetrated almost every corner of the world.
From every point of the compass come letters of appreciation and gratitude to Mahomet Allum, thanking him for his aid, and while the world naturally is wary and suspicious of self-styled healers possessing no medical degree it is indisputable that Mahomet Allum is in a niche of his own. Not to this Wonder Man may be applied such criticism, for the enormous number of patients cured by Mahomet Allum is probably the most startling factor in the records of modern medicine.
In thousands of instances Mahomet Allum has undertaken treatment of people whom doctors could not cure, and it is amazingly true that he has cured where medical men have failed. More remarkable still is the wide range of illnesses which Mahomet Allum has diagnosed and cured.
His activities have earned him the warmest commendation and thanks of high and low, rich and poor. The S.A. Commissioner of Police, Members of both Houses of the South Australian Parliament, and men and women highly placed have unstintingly sounded the praises of Mahomet Allum.
It must be pointed out that this remarkable man is not actuated, and has never been actuated, by thought of personal gain. He asks no fee, and though grateful patients have given him enough to make him a rich man, he has given away these donations as rapidly as they have come to him. There is no more amazing personality in the world to-day than this well known resident of Sturt Street, Adelaide, whose waiting rooms are always open to rich and poor alike.
It is his religion to benefit his fellow human beings, and without a doubt Mahomet Allum has been more than faithful to his creed.

The following letter from Dr. Kasim is certainly of great interest:-
"Abidmuzil,
Hyderabad,
India.
"Moulvi Mahomet Allum Sahib,
South Australia.
"Dear Sir, -
It was a great pleasure and relief to have met you in the Taj Mahal at Bombay. It was only through God Almighty that I was able and lucky enough to have had an interview and help afterwards, for which act of mercy I find no words to express my heartfelt thanks.
"By your divine medicine I have improved a good lot, but to have a radical cure I think it better if you kindly send me some more medicine. I finished the whole lot you had kindly given me at Bombay. After completing the course, I felt very much relieved. Up till now (five months) I have not had such a severe attack.
"Besides my case there is another one, that of my aunt, aged 35 years. She has diabetes, for which I want your precious advice in the line of treatment and diet. She has three children, and is of moderate constitution. She is disgusted with all alophathic unani and ayurvedic treatment, and is disgusted with life as well. So please save her by bestowing some medicine. She is ready to bear the expenses whatever they might be. Please do send me some more medicine for my appendicitis and save me from the clutches of an operation which you are dead against.
"May God Almighty bestow upon you long life and health to uplift and save the suffering humanity in this world. I will be highly indebted to you if you could make me your pupil.
"Please send me some medicine for myself and for my diabetic aunt, for which act of mercy I shall ever be grateful to you and pray for your long life and prosperity.
Your most obedient servant,
(Dr.) M. M. Kasim."
An indication of the very high regard in which Mr. Mahomet Allum is held in India is furnished in a letter recently received from the proprietor of Khair Mohamed Bros., H. Fatch Mahomed Khan, K.S., M.B.E., F.B.E.E., who is also an honorary magistrate and municipal commissioner in Quetta.
This concern is one of the biggest of its kind in India, and has received many distinctions for splendid service rendered to the Empire in carrying out its duties as army contractors during the World War, the Malakand Expedition and the Afghan War of 1919. By special appointment it enjoys the patronage of His Excellency the Commander in Chief, India, and also numbers among its patrons the highest military men stationed in India. There is scarcely a regiment in Inda [sic] which is not supplied under contract by this huge company.
Fatch Mahomed Khan wrote to Mr. Mahomet Allum when he learned that the latter had been subjected to a rigorous search by the Customs Authorities upon his return from India, a search which revealed nothing to the detriment of Mr. Allum and only served to annoy thousands of his sympathisers. The letter reads:-
"Head Office,
Bruce Road,
Quetta.
Oct. 29, 1934.
"My Dear Brother-in-Islam,
Assalam-o-Alaikam.
"Really I have got no words to express my joy for having received a most kind letter from my Islam brother. I have been very much distressed at the same time to understand from your letter the bad treatment exercised by the Customs authorities on your return. Allah is always present whenever He is remembered by His devotees and helps them at all times.
"I always pray that the Giver of All may shower His blessings upon you and Islam brothers wherever they are. Inshallah, with the grace fo [sic] Allah, I am definite of mind that you would beat all of your rivals very soon.
"I don’t forget, and you will never forget those jolly days when I had the honor to serve you during your short visit in Quetta. At the same time I would have been even more pleased if you had stayed with me for some period.
"I received the packages from you containing medicine, and I am very much indebted for your kindness. I was under the impression that you, being the busiest of men, would forget to comply with my request, but my idea was altogether wrong. The medicines under reference are being used by me and I am carrying out the directions carefully according to your instructions, and will let you know its result.
"I have got every faith in your medicines and I am sure Inshallah with blessings of Almighty and your prayers, I shall soon be recovered from my present disease.
"A few days after your departure I was brought to understand from a reliable source that you are descended from a parentage who used to cure patients, and that is the reason why God has bestowed upon you such a healing power in your hands that the patients are always treated successfully. I would also therefor request you to beseech Allah, as an Islam brother, for my immediate recovery.
"I have received your papers, too, and have been very glad to know that 'Khuda wand karim' has been so kind to an Islam brother as to bestow upon him so much respect and shafa amongst the non-believers, and I pray that he may continue the same and that through you many of them may embrace the Islam and get salvation.
"If there are any services for me in Baluchastin or anywhere in India, I shall not only be too proud, but will think it my duty to serve my Islam brother."
[In a box at the bottom left of the page, in larger text:] 19,000 citizens of Australia have begged, through a monster petition, that Mahomet Allum would remain in Australia to continue his administry to the sick.
[In a box at the bottom right of the page, in larger text:] A CHALLENGE REPEATED
I am prepared to donate £500 to charity if any medical practitioner can disprove any of the facts contained in the testimonials received by me.
[In bold text, across the bottom of the page:] Mahomet Allum asks no fee, but those in a position to leave a donation are invited to help the less fortunate. Over £15,000 of such thank offerings received have been donated by Mr. Allum to charity.
