[Stamped in black ink:] CUSTOMS AND EXCISE VIC 1921 13591
58, Palmerston Road,
North Unley,
18th March, 1921.
To Whom It May Concern,
I have known Mr. Sym Choon for about fifteen years, as a keen business man and a desirable citizen.
During the last two years his daughter, Gladys, has been a member of the Commercial Classes under my charge at the Adelaide High School. She is an extremely bright student, much above the average in intelligence, and her progress has [handwritten addition: 'been'] most creditable. She passed the Junior Commercial Examination of the Adelaide University with honours last year, and is now studying for the Senior Commercial Examination.
Her personal character is excellent.
