About this record
Kenneth Farmer was an Aboriginal serviceman—one of four brothers from Western Australia to serve in the First World War. He was discharged on medical grounds after he contracted cerebrospinal meningitis, but re-enlisted six months later. During his second tour, he was hospitalised for frostbite, mumps and a gunshot wound to the jaw.
