About this record
This poster advertised the work of the Sydney Industrial Blind Institution, a charity that provided vocational training for the blind. By 1916 the institution was training six soldiers who had been wounded in the First World War. It wrote to the Australian Government on 7 September 1916 seeking permission to name this building ‘The Anzac’, but this request was denied.
