[Headline:] AUSTRALIAN PLANS FOR MIGRANTS
BRISBANE, Sunday.
Revealing comprehensive plans to encourage the migration to Australia of some thousands of war orphans from Britain, the Minister for the Army (Mr. Forde) said that Australia must also be prepared to accept war orphans from Europe, who would be educated in Australian schools so that they would fit into the general way of things in Australia.
"We should be prepared to take," added the Minister, "from the United Kingdom numbers of ex-servicemen and also encourage the migration of suitable types of migrants from Europe."
