Competitive remuneration

Salary

Employee benefits are detailed in our Enterprise Agreement 2024–27.

Superannuation

APS employees receive a generous 15.4% employer superannuation contribution.

Allowances

Allowances can be paid in addition to salary in particular circumstances: including higher duties, travel assistance, restriction duty allowance, motor vehicle allowance and First Aid Officer allowance.

Salary packaging

Salary packaging is available to employees on a salary sacrifice basis, including for extra superannuation contributions.

Flexible working arrangements

To help you balance work requirements and family responsibilities we support our employees with a range of flexible employment conditions such as:

Attractive leave provisions

Personal / Carer’s leave

Full-time employees receive 18 days leave per year to help you manage work against illness, injury and caring responsibilities.

Christmas shutdown period

Employees receive paid time off for the working days between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day (in accordance with their Ordinary Hours of Work).
